The Connecticut Witch Trials 1647-1663

In 1692, the first “witch” of the very famous Salem Witch Trials was hanged, Connecticut beat the injustice by about 45 Years.  On May 26, 1647, Alse Young from Windsor, CT was executed as a witch.  Purported to be the first person in Colonial America to be executed for witchcraft.
