SPRING IS IN THE AIR...and Children's programs are scheduled.

Please register for all programs, note some are limited registration.

Join us on Thursday, February 25 at 10:30 for music & movement with Lynn Lewis.  Ages 0-5

Family Place returns.  Experience many forms of play, small craft & circle time, with a possible visit from local childcare experts.  Tuesdays March 2, 9,16,23 & 30, at 10:30.  Ages 0-5.

Science Snoopers "What's the Weather?" Thursday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m.  Must be able to sit & listen.  Ages 2-5.  Limited space. 

Funtime Friday, March 12 at 3:45.  Create a St. Patrick's Day craft with Miss Lisa.  Ages 6 & up.  Limited space.

Preschool Egg Hunt...Wednesday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m.  Bring your own basket & come to the party.  Games, refreshments & fun!

Special Family Program....

"Tour the Evening Sky" with Rick Costello, a NASA commissioned space artist & astronomer who will discuss his paintings & outline a brief history of the field of astronomy.  Participants will then go outdoors for a "tour" of the Orion Nebula & the Andromeda Galaxy.  Because the sky must be free of cloud cover there are 3 possible evening s reserved for this program.  Please note that "Tour the Sky' will be scheduled on ONE of the following dates, weather permitting:

Wednesday, March 17, OR Wednesday, March 24 OR Wednesday, March 31.  There is no sign up for this program, just watch the sky and call the library on the day mentioned to confirm the presentation that evening.  This program starts promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, April 9, 2010--- Tips for effective job search online..1st session 10:00-noon, repeat session 1:00 to 3:00 pm  Bring a copy of your resume in electronic format.  Each session is limited to 10 participants and will be held in the CTWorks Career Coach in our parking area.  Please register in person or by phone 203-88-3903.

Tuesday, April 10, 2010, 6:00 pm --Celebrate... Italian Style with Jacqueline Miconi.  Ms. Miconi will discuss her book, a five star title on Amazon.  This collection of over 100 recipes and stories of Italian family life will be available for purchase.  Jackie will also be showing us how to make several Italian treats.  Please register for this program.

Saturday, April 24, 1 to 3 pm.  Buying & Selling on eBay: Proven techniques with Louise LeClaire.  Please register.

Wednesday, May 12, 6:30 pm.  Coyotes in your Backyard!  Learn about those relatively new suburban residents & get advice on  managing your outdoor spaces.  Ken Elkins from Bent of the River Audubon Sanctuary will answer your questions.  Please register.

Saturday, May 15 1:00 pm.--"Ghost Hunting 101"  Andy Laird, a member of the Rhode island Paranormal Research Group will discuss paranormal phenomena throughout New England.  Bring your experiences with the "hard to explain" to the program.  Please register.
