Connecticut State Library Services In Jeopardy Due to Budget Cuts

 There are potential budget cuts in the State of Connecticut that, if approved, could change Library services as we have known them for decades.  These State cuts could eliminate the Connecticut program that allows a resident of any town in the state that holds a valid borrower card issued by their home library to use that card to borrow materials from any of the 192 public libraries participating in the program. That would effect the ability of patrons to walk into libraries other than their home library to check out items and effect, as well,  their ability to return items to libraries other than the library the items circulated and originated from. 

Remember, Seymour Public Library patron cards are issued free to Seymour town residents over the age of 5  with proper ID!

Seymour Public Library welcomes 60’s Satisfaction for a special concert on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1:30PM- 3:30PM.

Funding for the concert is provided by a grant from the Matthies Foundation. The Library will provide light refreshments.
